The Royal Opera House offers world-class opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at our iconic theatre in Covent Garden, and reaches out to audiences across the UK and beyond through ROH Cinema and digital content on other platforms.

The Royal Opera House is now looking for a Press Officer to join the Marketing Communications team. In this role, you will work across a varied portfolio of national and international press campaigns, for the ROH cinema season, BP Big Screens and Learning and Participation as well as some special projects and events. Reporting to the Head of Press and Communications, you will be working closely with key stakeholders internally, as well as external service providers and the press. The role is offered on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be an innovative team player with these qualities:

-Ability to provide a range of media support services within a performing arts environment, able to work across a national and international portfolio

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, honed in relation to media work (campaign strategy, materials and presentations)

-Strong planning and project management skills with ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines

-Ability to manage a portfolio of contacts for press and social media influencers

-Ability to take on the role of representing the ROH to the media and other stakeholders

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
