Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover

£28,000 per annum pro rata

The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives through opera and ballet. As an organization we seek to be accessible and engaging, to develop audiences across the UK and to break new ground in the presentation of lyric theatre. The Royal Ballet, one of the leading classical ballet companies in the world, showcases a diverse range of dance styles through the Royal Ballet Studio Programme, encompassing new commissions, co-productions, visiting companies and collaborative work with The Royal Opera and ROH Learning and Participation.

We are now seeking to appoint an interim Producer with The Royal Ballet Studio Programme to join our small team and work on delivery of a range of designated projects and to contribute to the smooth operation of the programme. The work encompasses a variety of activities, from planning, scheduling and budgeting, to managing the visiting companies. The nature of the role requires the flexibility to work varied hours as needed. The post is offered as a fixed term maternity cover, from end November 2017 to end August 2018.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with these qualities:

-Experience of delivering similar scale performance projects in an arts organization, and some project or administration experience with a dance company

-Strong planning and project management skills

-Highly proficient Microsoft Office user, and ability to learn the venue management system, SharePoint and other new systems

-Consistent high level of customer care and responsiveness as well as tact and diplomacy

-Knowledge of compliance requirements, including health and safety, immigration and safeguarding, for this area of work

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
