The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives through opera and ballet. As a charity, we could not maintain our reputation, the range of our work, or our digital presence, without the support of our business partners, sponsors, philanthropists and members. In addition to the performances of our work on stage at our heritage theatre site and other venues, and our cinema programme, we also offer learning and participation initiatives for children and adults from across the UK.

The Development and Enterprises Department is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant and Office Manager to support the work of the Director of Development and the smooth running of the department. This is a pivotal role in the team, with contact with all the key relationships and stakeholders, and also responsibility for a set of designated activities servicing the Board of Honorary Directors and the Development Committee.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player, able to demonstrate these qualities:

-Significant senior PA experience in an executive office, ideally within a large organisation

-Ability to work at a senior level, and deal effectively with Executive level matters

-A high standard of written/verbal English together with accuracy, attention to detail and very competent Microsoft Office user

-Consistent high level of responsiveness and care, coupled with tact and diplomacy

-Good judgment and able to request information when needed

-Ability to understand the needs and priorities of the Director, to anticipate and plan effectively
