Retail Sales Assistant

Part-time, 32 hours per week

£9.75 per hour

The Royal Opera House offers a range of retail products relating to opera, ballet and music as well as gifts, clothing and accessories, inspired by the art forms and our heritage site here at Covent Garden. The team provides a retail service to a wide range of customers and visitors to Covent Garden, as well as to an ever-widening customer base online.

We are now seeking a part-time Retail Sales Assistant to join our busy team, working 32 hours per week, Monday to Sunday. You will need to be available to work shifts of between 4 and 8 hours, which may be scheduled between 9.30am and 11.00pm.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, able to demonstrate:

-Sufficient retail experience with a good sales track record, able to operate effectively in an arts or heritage background

-The ability to contribute effectively to team sales

-Confident, helpful manner and consistent high level of customer care and service

-Numeracy and accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, order processing

-An interest in developing product knowledge and promoting the range of Royal Opera House retail products

-A high standard of verbal and written English
