Lighting Systems Casual

The Technical Department maintains a list of individuals who may be offered work on a casual basis and we are currently looking to increase our number of Lighting Systems Casuals.

Lighting Systems Casuals are required to work effectively as part of the Lighting team, participating in all necessary technical work for productions, maintenance and the general day to day running of a busy Lighting Systems department carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency and quality. This work can include: PAT testing, general maintenance & repair work and the construction of show specific practicals.

Applications are invited from those with prior stage theatrical experience. Ideally, we are looking for individuals with:

  • A proven track record in Theatre and Live Events, Lighting or Electrics.
  • Prior lighting experience and/or qualifications: electrical knowledge, rigging, lighting systems, PAT testing, fault finding, general maintenance skills and awareness of BS7671 and BS7909.
  • Excellent team work and communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • A positive attitude to health and safety.
  • Good IT skills.
