Model Room Draughtsperson

Up to £38,000 per annum
Permanent Contract

Working in the Production Department at the Royal Opera House you will see our world-class opera and ballet productions take shape.

You will assist the Head of Model Room and Production Managers in the realisation and production of scenery and props for opera and ballet productions at the Royal Opera House and touring venues.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A high standard of scenic draughting both in 2D and 3D in AutoCAD.
  • A good knowledge of stage technology and machinery, scenery construction, materials, paint and finishing processes.
  • A strong face to face and telephone communication skills; able to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of internal and external contacts including designers and contractors.
  • A good standard and experience of model making.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and the ability to work to own initiative.
  • The ability to plan and organise a busy and varied workload, to work under pressure with a high level of organisational proficiency, ensuring that project deadlines are met while keeping routine tasks up-to-date.
