Project Team Deputy Manager (Stage Bias)

£52,425 per annum

The Royal Opera House produces some of the best opera and ballet in the world. Our Technical Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance and rehearsal.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Project Team Deputy Manager to assist with all staging and technical requirements for rehearsals and performances. Supporting the Project Team Manager of a team working on a flexible production day by day basis, you will help ensure the highest standards of quality and best practice for all aspects of the work, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

The right person for this challenge will be a strong team player with:

  • A substantial track record in technical or project management for major establishments primarily for the staging of opera and ballet productions.
  • Experience in all key technical areas: stage, lighting, engineering, flying, rigging, and props.
  • The ability to support delivery of all projects to deadlines and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills to assist with production and team liaison.

A positive approach to Health and Safety is essential in this role.
