Technical Theatre Apprentice - Linbury

Do you love being involved in live events and performances? Are you practical and good at problem solving? Enjoy being part of a team and up for a challenge? Ready to learn new skills? Then a backstage career could be for you...

The ROH stages over 500 performances a year and our backstage teams are some of the best theatre technicians in the world. We want to give everyone the opportunity to get involved in this creative, exciting and growing industry and we think apprenticeships are great way to get started. An apprenticeship gives you the practical skills and knowledge that will underpin your professional development, as well as a recognised industry qualification.

What our apprentices say:

"It has taught me invaluable on-the-job experience that textbook learning cannot provide. I have also met lots of people from the wider industry who will be helpful contacts for my future career."

This will include study with the National College Creative Industries for a Level 3 Apprenticeship Creative Venue Technician.

Will I be paid?

Yes! £19,543 per year, which is £375.84 per week before tax, rising 2.5% after successfully completing the first year. College fees will also be paid by the Royal Opera House.
