Two Year Fixed Term Contract

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at our heritage theatre site here in Covent Garden, and reaching out to audiences across the UK and worldwide with our cinema screenings and content through other digital platforms. Our Technology team service a broad range of requirements across all departments of the organization and a number of business critical systems.

The work of the Technical and Production Departments increasingly use software and technology in the design and delivery of many aspects of our performances and rely on a broad range of infrastructure services and bespoke systems for day to day operations. We are now looking for a Technical Infrastructure and Projects Manager to service these needs for the Technical Department, working as part of our Technology Operations team. In this role you will work to ensure smooth running of the established technology services, and also deliver a number of capital and infrastructure projects. You will be working collaboratively with stakeholders in the Technical and Production Departments and also your team colleagues in Digital Development and Technology. Part of your brief will be to optimise technology to reduce costs and increase capacity and reliability as part of the investment in these major projects. The post is offered as a fixed term contract for 2 years.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player with these qualities:

-A proven track record of sufficient experience in the theatrical scheduling and show requirements of a busy Opera House or a comparable scale of performance venue

-An understanding of performance technological and automation systems in the theatrical industry

-Strong planning skills and ability to deliver to deadlines with allocated resources

-Ability to oversee or directly manage complex technological projects

-Strong stakeholder management and relationship management skills

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
