Project Manager (Production Knowledge Management)

18 month Fixed Term Contract

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at our heritage theatre site here in Covent Garden, and reaching out to audiences across the UK and worldwide with our cinema screenings and content through other digital platforms. Our Technology Programme team work to plan and manage technology driven projects across the whole organisation. Within the team`s remit is the Production Knowledge Management Programme, which aims to enable an organization where everyone has access to the information they need, when they need it, in order for the operation to run smoothly.

We are now looking for a Project Manager, dedicated to the Production Knowledge Management Programme, to join our Technology Programme Management team. Working to plan and deliver designated projects, you will use your project management skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders in different teams around the organization. The flagship project you will manage is the implementation of a new Artistic Planning and Production System (APPS) to provide a single, authoritative source of accurate information about our plans and our productions. The post is offered as a fixed term contract for 18 months.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player with these qualities:

-Current project management certification, Prince 2 practitioner, Agile Project Management or equivalent experience of project management

-Ability to create and deliver work plans using appropriate tools: able to work in Agile or Waterfall project environment

-Ability to provide credible leadership to development/project teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively

-Proficient MS Office suite user with strong awareness of technology trends and best practice

-Strong stakeholder management and relationship management skills, including day to day supplier management

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
