Technology Project Manager


18 month Fixed Term Contract

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at our heritage theatre site here in Covent Garden, and reaching out to audiences across the UK and worldwide with our cinema screenings and content through other digital platforms. Our Technology team service a broad range of requirements across all departments of the organisation and a number of business critical systems, from customer facing and marketing to scheduling and finance.

We are now looking for a Technology Project Manager to join our Technology Programme Management team. Working to priorities set by the Head of Technology Programmes, you will work on a portfolio of projects, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders around the organisation. We are currently working on delivery of a number of key projects including e-procurement, which is being rolled out across the organisation. The post is offered as a fixed term contract for 18 months and is available for an immediate start.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player with these qualities:

-Current project management certification, Prince 2 practitioner, Agile Project Management or equivalent

-Ability to create and deliver work plans using appropriate tools: able to work in Agile or Waterfall project environment

-Ability to provide highly credible technical leadership to development teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues

-Highly proficient MS Office suite user with strong awareness of technology trends and best practice

-Strong experience of business change management and delivering positive change through critical thinking and problem solving

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
