Technology Service Delivery Manager

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at our heritage theatre site here in Covent Garden, and reaching out to audiences across the UK and worldwide with our cinema screenings and content through other digital platforms. Our Technology team service a broad range of requirements across all departments of the organisation and a number of business critical systems, from customer facing and marketing to scheduling and finance.

We are now looking for a Technology Service Delivery Manager to join our Technology Operations team and lead the service desk. Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, you will manage and oversee the service desk function, working to uphold ITIL and other best practice, agreed service levels and other governance requirements. In this role you will manage the service desk team, promoting information flow, skill development, continuous learning and continuous improvement. The role is offered as a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player with these qualities:

-Proven and extensive experience of service management and application production support with knowledge of service recovery, incident and problem management

-Sound knowledge of ITIL, with the ITIL Foundation qualification, also sound knowledge of Agile and DevOps

-Ability to manage operational risk effectively and deliver strong security measures

-A track record in the management and development of Service Delivery teams

-Excellent planning and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines and work to a change management agenda

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
