The Royal Ballet, one of the leading classical ballet companies in the world, is seeking to appoint a Ballet Mistress on a permanent basis. Working with the company of over 90 dancers, the Ballet Mistress will support the Senior Ballet Mistress with the responsibility for the female corps de ballet, for their performance preparation, learning and development and day to day supervision and related management and administration matters. As a member of the teaching staff, the Ballet Mistress will act as an ambassador for The Royal Ballet, internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player with these qualities:

-A proven track record in teaching, rehearsing and developing professional female dancers at all levels, to the highest standards

-A detailed knowledge of the classical repertoire and where possible of Royal Ballet productions

-Ability to motivate and coach people to perform and achieve superior results

-Ability to ensure smooth running of day to day operations within a busy schedule

-Ability to promote effective teamwork, trust and harmonious working relationships at all levels

-Commitment to managing own learning and professional development relevant to the role

In addition, the requirement to appoint a female for this position is a Genuine Occupational Requirement.
