Lighting Control Programmer


£46,938 per annum

The Royal Opera House produces some of the best opera and ballet in the world. Our Technical Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance and rehearsal.

The Lighting Control Programmer works as part of a small team to programme and operate lighting control systems, working with network infrastructure using lighting protocols to control conventional, moving and intelligent fixtures.

The right person for this challenge will be a strong team player and have a:

  • Proven track record in a variety of lighting control systems work for professional theatre productions and events
  • HND or equivalent qualification or experience in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • City and Guilds or equivalent knowledge in Drafting, CAD, WYSIWYG
  • Good technical skills with an understanding of current lighting equipment and systems and an interest in new product developments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
