The Royal Opera House, home to The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, is one of the most prolific performing arts venues in the world. Each season we present over 300 performances of Opera and Ballet on our main stage, around 200 performances in our Linbury Theatre and performances delivered in partnership at other venues around the UK. In addition, our Learning and Participation team host a year round programme of public performances, events and exhibitions both in Covent Garden and at our site in Thurrock and we deliver over 150 private events throughout our Covent Garden building. Following the Open Up project, completed in September, we are now open to welcome an even wider group of people to experience what the Royal Opera House has to offer.

The Legal and Business Affairs team provide a service to the whole organisation and work across all departments. We are currently looking to appoint a Legal and Business Affairs Administrator, reporting to the Head of Legal and Business Affairs.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with excellent administration experience, a strong team player and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to undertake administrative work effectively in a Legal and Business Affairs department with experience of using and working with templates and precedents
  • Respect for compliance issues and confidential information, high standards of general accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high standard of English
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload with high productivity
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong numeracy skills, able to work accurately with data entry and checking figures (such as royalties)
