Youth Opera Programme Manager

Full time; 40 hours per week
Based at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden
£34,500 per annum
Permanent contract

Our Learning and Participation (L&P) programme, based at our Covent Garden and Thurrock homes and across England, aims to inspire creativity, offering people of all ages the chance to discover, question and respond to the power of our artforms.

Our L&P programme is distinctive in its scale and ambition, which is only increasing as we look to reach communities nationally and extend access to our art forms. We are now looking for a Programme Manager to support the Head of Opera, Learning and Participation, in the planning and delivery of the ongoing Youth Opera programmes and special projects out of London, providing project management administrative, logistical, financial and practical support.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and writing skills, a common-sense approach to problem solving and a high level of attention to detail. We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience of managing performing arts or arts educations projects
  • Experience of producing/delivering high quality performances and events
  • Excellent project management skills with strong organisational, administrative and time management skills and proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of financial administration and monitoring budgets
  • A commitment to being an effective team worker with a proactive approach to work and contributing to the wider team culture and environment.

Knowledge of the arts health & wellbeing sector and of the importance of arts engagement will be highly regarded.
