£19,200 for 24 hours per week (£32,000 per annum FTE)

The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.

Our Visitor Experience team are the public face of our organisation, delivering excellent customer service to returning and new audiences. Our Tours offering gives an insight into the world behind the art forms on stage, giving visitors backstage access to our theatre in Covent Garden and our production workshop in Thurrock.

We are seeking to recruit a part-time Tours Coordinator to join the small but busy Tours team, helping with the coordination and delivery of tours and the training of new guides. You will contribute to the development of new tours, drive tour bookings and prepare the tours schedule, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about the delivery of exceptional customer service alongside inclusivity and access to the ballet and opera art forms. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven administration skills including the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the diplomacy required to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues and external clients at all levels.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to use initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Confidence to assist in training a team and talking to groups.
  • Working as an effective team player with an energetic approach and a positive outlook.
