The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.

The Royal Opera House describes the place we work, not who we are. While our Covent Garden theatre is the nerve centre, the impact and influence of the organisation can be felt in every corner of the country, and around the world. Keeping us connected to audiences across the world are our technology team, who enable us to do our jobs onsite by providing the network, infrastructure and systems for all departments to work effectively.

We are now seeking an to add an experienced architect into our Technology Team in a newly created role. This position will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business and technical implementation. They will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with significant experience in computing/engineering and the ability to think strategically and see the wider picture. Through their work experience, they will be able to demonstrate:

• Up to date knowledge of software applications, data, programming languages and hardware
• Systems architecture knowledge
• Understanding of best practice in IT industry
• Knowledge of cloud computing environments and SaaS solutions
• Experience in managing technology and engineering teams
