The role:
Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance, rehearsal, and event.
We are currently seeking a Lighting Control and Visualisation Manager to join our team. This role will collaborate closely with the Deputy Heads of Lighting to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Lighting Control Systems, Visualisation, and associated equipment. The role will prioritise delivering exceptional service, both during rehearsals and performances, while continuously meeting the creative demands of the RBO and designers. Additionally, they will be responsible for scheduling and managing the department`s lighting control and visualisation staff, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department.
What you`ll bring:
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstratable experience of managing a lighting team who program and operate the lighting and control systems for a large-scale repertory or producing venue creating theatrical productions to the highest artistic and technical standards.
- An exceptional track record in programming and operation of ETC EOS family of lighting desks V3.0 or higher and ETC peripherals, gained from working with the latest technology on live performances or events. Current experience is essential
- The ability to use the lighting console to help create and recreate original lighting for productions to the highest artistic and technical standards in house, at outside venues and on tour or on hire. You will also have the ability to take creative concepts and realise them in practical terms, drawing on own creativity to identify innovative solutions as needed.
- Ability to analyse current processes and implement new procedures to combat the challenges of technology advancement and the busy workload of the department.
- Proven experience of managing teams with a positive leadership style, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage conflict successfully.
- Proven experience of managing projects with consistent high production standards, effective problem solving abilities, and the ability to work under pressure while managing time effectively.
