The role:

Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance, rehearsal, and event.

Our Lighting Department is committed to delivering artistic concepts and exceptional live performances in a busy repertory venue. We strive to be at the forefront of artistic ambition whilst always considering the impact of our work on the environment and sustainability. The department is split into 4 specialist divisions; Production Lighting, Lighting Control and Visualisation, Follow Spots and Lighting Systems.

The Lighting Department are seeking to appoint a Production Lighting Technician who will effectively contribute to the smooth running of productions end-to-end, including rehearsals, performances and fit ups across a flexible weekly rota.

What you`ll bring:

You`ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in theatrical lighting, ideally in a large-scale theatre environment, live entertainment or events.
  • Understanding of legislation and best practice in relation to the role, such as BS7909 and CDM2015.
  • A broad range of technical skills and understanding of the requirements of other technical teams and departments within a live performance environment.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach to working, and the ability to show initiative in dealing with day-to-day problems.
