The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.
The Royal Opera House describes the place we work, not who we are. The whole is always more than the sum of its parts - we may be a House, but three quarters of our audience experience what we do outside this building. While our Covent Garden theatre is the nerve centre, the impact and influence of the organisation can be felt in every corner of the country, and around the world. Keeping us connected to audiences across the world are our technology team, who enable us to do our jobs onsite by providing the network, infrastructure, security measures and systems for all departments to work effectively.
We are now seeking to appoint to the new growth position of Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, you will be an essential part of our team, helping to design, develop, and enhance our cybersecurity capabilities. You will assist in selecting, implementing, and managing security tools and technologies, focusing on detecting, preventing, and analysing security threats. Your role will be crucial in supporting our efforts to protect the organisation s digital assets and ensure a secure environment for our operations.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and teamwork abilities, as well as problem-solving and analytical skills. They will have a keen interest in Information Security and willingness to learn and develop in this field. They will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role with a technical approach to Information Security
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, 365 Admin, MDM, Antivirus, Firewalls, Vulnerability scanners, and Penetration testing tools
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)

As a Disability Confident Employer, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential minimum criteria for our vacancies.
