The Royal Ballet and Opera continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Covent Garden theatre has been at the heart of London and British cultural life for three centuries. We are home to two world-class Companies: The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera.
The Royal Ballet, one of the leading classical ballet companies in the world, are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Producer. Reporting to the Creative Producer, you will support the smooth operation of administrative systems, designated productions and performances within the day-to-day operations and scheduling of The Royal Ballet`s Linbury Theatre performance programme and Choreographic Development projects.
The successful candidate will be a team player, able to demonstrate these essential qualities:
- Relevant producing experience ideally in dance and/or the performing arts
- A keen passion for ballet/dance
- Administrative experience, ideally in an arts organisation and the ability to learn and follow procedures
- A good general understanding or experience of the working practices of a producing theatre and/or a dance or ballet company.
- Highly proficient Microsoft Office user, with the ability to learn databases, SharePoint and other new systems - knowledge of our scheduling system Diese would be advantageous.
- Flexibility in dealing with changed priorities, initiative and problem solving
