The Royal Ballet are seeking to appoint a Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach to provide world class performance and rehabilitation services to the dancers of The Royal Ballet Company within the Ballet Healthcare Department.
You will have the specific responsibility for providing a high-quality service to The Royal Ballet Company of professional dancers, based in Covent Garden. You will work alongside other clinical and technical staff under the direction of the Clinical Director as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
You will lead on the Strength and Conditioning service and strategy within department driving change in the physical preparation of professional ballet dancers. The role will involve delivery against the department`s physical performance strategy including:
1.Dancer development
2.Programming and delivery
3.Profiling and monitoring
4.Facilities and equipment
5.Education and engagement
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of individualised and group-based S&C programmes with a performance emphasis, while also being a key practitioner in the rehabilitation of injured dancers. Programming to the dancers should be grounded in science and your extensive professional experience in elite performance environments.
We are looking for a personable, highly professional coach who has considerable experience of supporting athletes in a high-performance setting, as well as experience of working with talented athletes or dancers, who will thrive on the challenge of this exciting position.
