The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. Having just reopened to the public, we arenow able to welcome our audiences back to our iconic theatre in Covent Garden. In addition, we are seeking to reach a wider audience across a range of different platforms and media in order to grow our audience reach and engagement.

The Legal and Business Affairs team provide an essential service to a range of internal clients, working centrally across the organization. We are now looking for a Legal and Business Affairs Administrator to work to the Head of Legal and Business Affairs on the administration of rights management, including record keeping, preparation of draft contracts and dealing with enquiries. The post offers an opportunity to gain a varied experience of legal and business affairs in the performing arts and is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to demonstrate these qualities:

  • Ability to undertake administrative work effectively in a Legal and Business Affairs department

  • Experience or knowledge of Rights management issues and the ability and interest to develop this further

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high standard of English, accurate typing and the ability to draft and amend documents as directed

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload with high productivity

  • Consistent high level of responsiveness, customer care, diplomacy and respect for confidential information

  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
