The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. The Technology Services and Infrastructure team works to provide a service to all departments across the Royal Opera House Group, who depend on a variety of essential technology services every day.

We are now looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to join the Technology Infrastructure team working across the Royal Opera House Group, to contribute to the work in developing and strengthening our technology infrastructure. The team upholds a strong team ethic and values information flow, skill development, continuous learning and continuous improvement. This is a very good opportunity to develop a more specialized career path in technology infrastructure.


The ideal candidate will be a team player with these qualities:


  • Experience in IT operations supporting a Windows enterprise, with knowledge of Office 365 platform and SharePoint online foundation certification such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Strong interest and aptitude for skill development in a range of technology infrastructure solutions, platforms, tools and systems (AWS, Azure, automation tools such as PowerShell)
  • Ability to keep up to date with current technology and department procedures and work to implement change effectively
  • Able to maintain positive relations with all user groups and stakeholders
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
