Programme Manager, ROH Bridge

North Kent (Maternity Cover)

£21,944 per annum (24 hours per week)

10-month maternity cover from October 2021 until 31 August 2022.

Based in Purfleet

Royal Opera House Bridge (ROH Bridge) aspires for every child and young person to have the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts, museums and libraries. To achieve our aim, we believe that a high quality local cultural offer is essential.

ROH Bridge acts as a broker to galvanize and facilitate the building of sustainable cultural partnerships by co-investing in strategic activity that helps build infrastructure and sustain cultural learning opportunities over time. We measure our success through the increased number of children and young people who are engaging with creative and cultural learning experiences both in and out of school.

We are now seeking a dynamic individual to take on a maternity cover contract as Bridge Programme Manager for North Kent. You will be responsible for developing partnerships, collaborations and external relationships across that region, and for supporting colleagues in the arts, culture and education sectors through activities including brokerage, networking and training in order to address the needs of children and young people locally.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A track record of project management in an arts, culture or heritage education context and a commitment to advocating the importance of the arts, culture and heritage to children and young people.
  • Experience of working strategically to strengthen and sustain opportunities for young people to engage with cultural learning and attracting investment to such work.
  • Excellent knowledge of the current arts and cultural education and youth arts context.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from a range of backgrounds and professional contexts.
  • A commitment to collaborative working, and an understanding of the needs of successful partnership working.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

This role will be based at the Royal Opera House Learning and Participation office at the High House Production Park in Purfleet, with a requirement for some work at Covent Garden and occasional travel within the Bridge region.
