The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming and social media to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media team focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can also grow our audience-generated revenues.

We are looking for a Digital Content Assistant to work within ROH Studios, reporting to the Lead for Engagement Content. In this role you will learn to use a range of tools, systems and platforms to support the Engagement Content team in updating and maintaining content across a variety of digital channels and platforms. Part of your responsibilities will include working to the schedule of performances for content updates as required, working to hours notified in advance which may include early evenings and occasional weekends or bank holidays. The position is offered as a one year fixed term contract and is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of supporting the creation and delivery of digital content and accurate updating of content
  • An understanding of how to upload content to a digital platform with a good working knowledge of a range of tools for managing digital content, including working with text, data images and AV
  • A very high standard of written and spoken English and the ability to proofread and check draft content, including text, spelling of names, punctuation, layout and visual displays
  • Highly proficient MS Office 365 user, including Word and Excel
  • Ability and commitment to work to a varied schedule when required and notified, including some early evenings and occasional weekends
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
