Edit Suite Assistant, ROH Studios, Audiences and Media

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming and social media to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media team focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can also grow our audience-generated revenues.


With a growth in our digital content, we are now looking for an Edit Suite Assistant to join the ROH Studios team. In this post you will provide a range of edit suite support for media library management, data entry, editing and internet based file delivery for the audio-visual content produced in house by designated ROH Studios teams. You will already have some editing skills and in this role will learn to use a range of in-house software and systems to create deliverable materials using standard edit, encoding and transcoding equipment, working as an integral part of the team.


The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working in an Edit house or production company
  • Experience of working with a digital library, and of managing content libraries and metadata tags or other relevant data management experience
  • Experience of editing using Premiere Pro and a willingness to learn to use video encoding tools
  • Good experience in file management and retrieval for film and audio-visual projects, able to transcribe names, data and numbers with a high level of accuracy
  • Consistent high level of service delivery and responsiveness and experience of working in a highly deadline-sensitive environment
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
