The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings.


The Costume Logistics unit in Aberdare is essential to the smooth running of the Royal Opera House as it holds and facilitates all the costumes for our shows. It is important that we remain flexible in our working as requests are often added, as well as facilitating both our hires and co-productions.


Ideally, we are looking for individuals with:


  • A good knowledge of costume type and period as well as fabrics
  • Experience with basic sewing and repairs
  • The ability to self-motivate and time manage
  • A flexible approach as priorities shift from show to show
  • Competency with computer/tablet/camera and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Confidence in manual handling
