Executive Assistant to the Director of Human Resources


Up to £34,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience

Full-time (40 hours per week), permanent contract

As the home of The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera, at the Royal Opera House we want many more people to enjoy and engage in exceptional ballet and opera. We have a diverse team of over 1000 staff - working in artistic, technical, craft, administrative, professional and customer service roles - and are now looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our HR team.

We are looking for an energetic professional who doesn`t mind wearing multiple hats, is experienced in handling a wide range of tasks, can work proactively and independently with little or no supervision and who enjoys the challenges of supporting a busy HR Director and team.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of Executive Support experience in a busy environment, with experience of complex diary management
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills, with the ability to operate successfully with people at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise activities, anticipate needs, plan effectively and be solutions-focused
  • Confidence in working with senior team members and effectively dealing with executive-level matters, with the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to tailor communication style to various audiences
