The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media team focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House and seeks to grow our audience-generated revenues.


We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and innovative Marketing Officer who can support us to connect with a wider audience across a range of different platforms and media and continue to grow our audience reach and engagement. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing campaigns to promote the Royal Opera House`s diverse offer to the public, encouraging ticket sales, developing our audiences, promoting our online offer, and driving secondary income through tours and events.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of delivering marketing campaigns to promote events, products or services
  • The ability to analyse and optimise campaigns in order to make them as effective as possible
  • Experience of reviewing campaign progress and measures of success
  • An interest in understanding critical success factors in a campaign and ability to take a creative and innovative approach to maximise success
  • A data-driven and informed approach to marketing
  • A commercial mindset and drive to deliver return on advertising investment
  • Excellent communication skills, with a high standard of written and verbal English
