The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives and continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. It seeks to be accessible and engaging, to develop audiences across the UK and to break new ground in the presentation of lyric theatre.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive administrator to join the small team in the Chief Executive`s Office. This includes supporting advocacy events and managing relationships with key stakeholders and funders. The Office leads the Executive team and sets future priorities across the Royal Opera House.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of one of the world`s busiest theatres, giving an insight into the broad range of artistry, creativity and administration behind the scenes.


We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • A proven track record in administration in a busy office environment
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with an high level of attention to detail and pride in work
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to work under pressure and manage a busy and varied workload with high productivity
  • Confidence in the use of IT systems to improve efficiency
  • Strong communication skills with a high standard of written and verbal English
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills

Experience in small scale event organisation and administration will be highly regarded.
