The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives and continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. It seeks to be accessible and engaging, to develop audiences across the UK and to break new ground in the presentation of lyric theatre.

As a charity, we could not maintain our reputation, the range of our work, or our digital presence, without the support of our business partners, sponsors, philanthropists and members. The Development and Enterprises Department is seeking to recruit two Events Officers to join the team during a period of demand and growth and help deliver sector leading events for our philanthropic and commercial clients.


The ideal candidates will be proactive and dynamic individuals with good people skills. This position also requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure. This is a fantastic opportunity to hone your events craft and learn from the best in the business.

We are looking for:

  • Relevant experience in supporting events organising and delivery
  • General project experience, including planning and prioritisation, and documentation preparation skills
  • A commitment to delivering a first-rate service to clients, philanthropists and potential supporters
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office user with good database and Excel skills
  • Commitment to a high standard of work with good attention to detail
  • Strong team player able to work collaboratively across the organisation
