€1x Permanent Contract & 3x Fixed Term Contracts

Salary: £37,812.00 - £41,265.12

We are seeking to appoint 4 Technicians to join the Flys. The role involves working as part of a Team to ensure the operational and production requirements of rehearsals and performances are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency, and quality. As part of our recent upgrade programme, the ROH has worked with Tait to Develop and Launch the EpiQ Automation Control system, ensuring the ROH as an industry leader in Automated Flying. The ROH has a fully automated Flys system whilst still applying the principals of Manual Flying in our work. As such, whilst we will provide training in the specifics of our system, we do require some automation experience as a foundation. The Flys Teams follow a fortnightly shift pattern to ensure a good work/life balance is maintained.

You will ideally have:

  • A proven track record & understanding of technical theatre.
  • A trained and safe Flys operator, with some experience of automated systems (knowledge of Tait systems desirable) or automation more broadly
  • An appreciation of technical aspects of performance, with an understanding of the broader needs of other departments and how Flys/Automation works with them on the production process.
  • A Good Knowledge of Health and Safety relevant to the safe operation of a flying system or automation more broadly

For more information on these roles or if you have any questions, please contact Rob Melhuish the Senior Flys Manager who will be happy to discuss these with you at [email protected] or on 07940008759.
