What do we do?
Our Costume Performance team provides costume support to the artists of The Royal Ballet, the Royal Opera and visiting companies. We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Costume Performance Manager to join our Costume Performance Team. This role works predominantly with the Royal Opera Company to plan for the smooth running of productions from a costume perspective.
Our Assistant Costume Performance Managers create and book the team of casual Dressers working on each assigned production. You liaise with multiple departments to plan and facilitate all costume requirements for stage rehearsals and performances. You will lead and guide a team of Technicians through complex repairs, fittings, and alterations, allowing them to learn and thrive under your leadership, so they can replicate and share your high standards.
As we are a rep house, you will often be juggling two or more productions at a time.
What are we looking for?
- A varied background in costume and experience in large-scale show running
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent sewing techniques, particularly repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with scheduling and budgeting.
- Excellent MS Office experience
