Business Analyst


Based in Covent Garden, London

Fixed term contract for 12 months (ideally starting May 2023)

Up to £41,000 per annum based on skills and experience


The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance live on stage at our heritage theatre site here in Covent Garden and reaching out to audiences across the UK and worldwide with our cinema screenings and content through other digital platforms. Our Technology team service a broad range of requirements across all departments of the organisation and a number of business-critical systems, from customer facing and marketing to scheduling and finance.

We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join our Transformation team. Working to priorities set by the Transformation Manager and Head of Transformation as part of a PMO-style team, you will work on an exciting program of work focused on reframing how we engage our customers. This role will be working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders around the organization, as such requires strong levels of communication & the ability to translate technical ideas to everyday language. In this role, you will deliver analysis of business requirements, process mapping and solution design, using a range of tools and methodologies.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced team player who can demonstrate:

  • Business analysis experience to identify user and stakeholder needs and define digital and technology solutions
  • Experience in communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, including oral and written presentations, proposals, technical specifications, and reports
  • The ability to communicate and engage with a broad range of stakeholders, working successfully with cross discipline teams
  • The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
  • Evidence of problem solving and providing effective creative solutions
  • Experience and understanding across a range of Microsoft products and enterprise systems
