The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings.

The lighting department are seeking to appoint a Production Lighting Senior Technician who will work to the priorities set by the Senior Managers, and the Head of Lighting and Deputies, ensuring that all activities, rehearsals, and performances are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency, and quality.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in theatrical lighting, ideally in a large-scale theatre environment, live entertainment or events.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapid changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A broad range of technical skills and understanding of the requirements of other technical teams and departments within a theatre environment.
  • Proven ability to implement lighting plans from conception to performance.
  • A collaborative spirit, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a technical team.
  • Good level of Vectorworks & Lightwright understanding appropriate to the role.
  • Good MS Microsoft Office skills.
