2-year fixed term contract starting March 2024 Salary: £41,265.12 per annum for 42.5 hours per week

The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming and social media to worldwide cinema screenings. Our Operations Department are responsible for a range of critical infrastructure projects, including those which will ensure our building is equipped to continue delivering word class productions from our home in Covent Garden. As part of this, the ROH has developed a major programme of work which brings together a range of energy and sustainability initiatives, infrastructure replacement works and upgrades, and refurbishment projects which will help to transform the working environment and technical capabilities across our estate.
We are now seeking to appoint a Senior Technician to join our Lighting Control and Visualisation team, to support specifically with the ongoing Lighting Upgrade Project. They will draft Vectorworks plans, develop 3D visualisation models for revivals and new productions and facilitate the transition to a new, modern LED lighting rig, using the ETC Eos console range to integrate with Capture.
Our ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, who exudes a willingness to learn new skills and help train and develop others. They will be able to sufficiently demonstrate:
- A working knowledge of Visualisation software (Capture desirable).
- Proficient understanding of the Eos family console range.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
- An understanding of AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of Vectorworks.
