Senior Partnerships Manager, New Business


Permanent Contract

Starting from £45,000 per annum, based on skills and experience

Full time; 40 hours per week

Based on site at ROH Covent Garden

The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives through opera and ballet. It seeks to be accessible and engaging, to develop audiences across the UK and to break new ground in the presentation of lyric theatre. With the support of a refreshed brand and purpose, and assets never before available, we are open for business and on track to deliver a step change in income from brand partnerships with a £4.5M target for the FY24/25 season. To support this approach, we are looking for a creative, ambitious senior manager who thrives in a new business environment.

This role will lead from the front in terms of new business development, relationship management and support to the Partnerships team as they grow the client base. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will work as part of a small team contributing to the strategic direction and delivery of the portfolio with a remit for identifying and soliciting significant six figure + partnerships to underpin growth and future success and build a robust new business pipeline. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team leading on developing innovative partnerships, in a world-class performing arts venue during a period of exciting change and growth.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and confident individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to present to the business community. They will also be an experienced team player, able to evidence the following:

  • A demonstrable track record in the delivery of new business, negotiating and securing partnerships at six figures and above and working on complex projects.
  • Experience in the identification and cultivation of significant partnerships.
  • Polished communication skills with the expertise and gravitas required to communicate with senior level executives.
  • A good understanding of the marketing mix, including working with digital assets and ability to work with metrics within proposals and packages.
  • A target focused and strategic approach, with effective project management, prioritisation, and planning skills.
  • Experience working with a fundraising database or CRM system.

A passion for the arts and the role of the arts in society will be highly regarded but previous experience in the sector is not a pre-requisite. We are looking for candidates with the commercial experience and drive to help us meet our ambitious growth targets and are open to hearing about your transferable skills.
