The role:
We are now seeking to recruit a Sound, Video and Broadcast Senior Technician with a video bias on a fixed-term contract. The Sound, Video & Broadcast department at the ROH looks after Sound and Video projection requirements for our Opera and Ballet productions as well as facilitating the live broadcasts of our performances and events.
The role involves working as part of a team to ensure the operational and production requirements of rehearsals and performances are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency, and quality.
What you`ll bring:
This role will suit a candidate with strong communication skills, who has a collaborative approach to working and the ability to work unsupervised and show initiative. You will also be able to demonstrate:
- An excellent track record in video and projection: from operating shows to system specifications and rigging equipment.
- Experience in a major establishment an advantage, ideally a venue presenting opera and ballet productions.
- An excellent track record in live productions.
- Excellent technical skills and knowledge base with a thorough understanding of current equipment and systems pertinent to the role.
- Technical expertise and experience programming media servers: Disguise, Qlab and Catalyst beneficial.
- An understanding of video formats, cables and signal path.
