The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. The ROH Shop is a vital part of our growing commercial focus cand we continue to see a growing interest in the Online Shop.

As we begin to gear up for a busy festive season, we are looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join us on a fixed term contract, delivering an excellent service for our online and phone shoppers. This is an ideal opportunity if you have experience in order fulfilment for online retail sales and enjoy working as a team in a busy environment. To apply, you must be available to start work in the coming weeks and work a variable shift pattern including evenings, and weekends. Training in our systems and procedures will be provided and you will need to gain sufficient knowledge of our product range and stock management systems fairly quickly.

The successful candidate will be an experienced team player, used to working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, who is able to demonstrate:

  • Some experience supporting a retail or sales environment with customer service support to online, webchat and phone customers
  • Ability to make an effective contribution as part of a small team for order fulfilment for online or phone customer
  • Numeracy and accuracy in order monitoring, order processing and stock takin
  • Confident, helpful manner and consistent high level of customer care and servic
  • Good written skills for preparing emails and written communications with customers and suppliers, with accurate transcription of customer details, stock requirements and order numbers
  • Ability to manage own time effectively and use initiative in an exceptionally busy customer facing role

Experience using Shopify and TalkDesk is not essential but will be highly regarded so if you have this, please ensure you mention it in your application.
