Model Room Assistant


2 year fixed term contract
£20,654 per annum

Working in the Production Department at the Royal Opera House you will see our world-class opera and ballet productions take shape. Supporting the Model Room team and Production Managers, your responsibilities will include the production of technical drawings using AutoCAD and model making. You will act as the first point of contact for the model room, liaising with designers, other departments and external contacts. Efficiently organising and maintaining systems and supplies you will ensure that the model room runs smoothly.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A theatre/theatre design background;
  • Experience of producing technical drawings in AutoCAD;
  • Experience of theatrical model making;
  • Some experience of office administration; and
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of internal and external contacts including designers and contractors.
