Production Assistant (Opera)


Permanent Contract

The Linbury Theatre will reopen as a world class venue for mid-scale opera and dance, reflecting the principles and values that we see on our main stage. Programmed by the Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet, the companies will produce work, encourage the development of artists and the art forms, as well as present productions by, and in collaboration with, other national and international opera and dance companies.

In advance of the re-opening we are seeking to appoint to a number of roles in the Royal Opera, including the new post of Production Assistant. The post holder will support the day to day running of a busy production office and provide effective administrative & producing support to the Royal Opera Producers.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Administrative experience in arts administration.
  • Microsoft Office user (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience, with the aptitude to learn new systems including EBMS (ROH scheduling system).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high standard of verbal/written English.
  • Numeracy and ability to record and track simple budgets using Excel.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with a systematic approach.
