The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming and social media to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media team focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can also grow our audience-generated revenues.

We are now looking to appoint a Junior Artworker to the Creative Studios team, to provide artwork assistance, focusing on editorial design and some Photoshop work. You will be working alongside an experienced Graphic Designer to help deliver a range of smaller scale print and some digital materials, from short form to content heavy material, such as programmes. This is an opportunity to develop and hone your skills with the support of a team environment and to work across a broad portfolio of digital and print materials. The position is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, able to demonstrate:

-Ability to demonstrate a track record of artwork for a range of design briefs

-Thorough working knowledge of Adobe Indesign and a working knowledge of using Photoshop for image touch-up, extension and montage work

-Experience of editorial design, and ability to contribute ideas

-Ability to fulfil a creative brief working in a busy office and to deliver high quality work when under pressure

-Able to engage effectively with different teams and departments to understand their needs when following up on a project brief

-Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
