The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media team focusses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can also grow our audience-generated revenues.

We are now looking to appoint a UX Research Associate to work in a multidisciplinary team and shape the audience user experience across a variety of products based on data, insight and best practice techniques. This is an opportunity to take your experience further, working with committed and talented colleagues who share a vision to reach and inspire audiences. The position is available for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and collaborative team player, able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, appreciating their limitations and when to apply them appropriately
  • Some experience facilitating and running research, in a digital, marketing, academic or other capacity
  • Some knowledge and experience of user-centred design practices for web, service or software development, or ability to learn
  • Good track record in delivering accurate, high quality work to deadlines and to required standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefings, presentations and report writing
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous development relevant to the role
