Project Team Managers

£57,371 per annum/Permanent Contract

The Royal Opera House produces some of the best opera and ballet in the world. Our Technical Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance and rehearsal.

We currently a vacancy for two experienced Project Team Managers to:

  • Each lead one of the Project Teams taking overall responsibility for all technical aspects of supervised productions.
  • Ensure that each project is delivered, within budget, to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Provide effective leadership and management to daily and project team staff working on supervised productions.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven Technical management experience in a producing theatre, with a technical management degree or equivalent technical theatre experience.
  • Demonstrable technical skills, either Lighting experience to NA7909, or equivalent Stage (engineering, flying & rigging) experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to create and deliver technical projects to meet key deliverables
  • Ability to provide highly-credible technical leadership, to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively
  • Demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety, experience of risk assessment, an IOSH health and safety qualification with experience of working to CDM2015.
  • Ability to work to and support a culture of continuous improvement
