The Royal Opera House continues to lead the way in opera, ballet, music and dance both live on stage and through multiple digital platforms, from live streaming and social media to worldwide cinema screenings. The work of our Audiences and Media team focuses on growing the love, advocacy and demand for the art presented by the Royal Opera House, so that we can also grow our audience-generated revenues.

Due to the need for a maternity cover for a period of 10 months from February to November 2021, we are now looking for an Interim Image Coordinator for the ROH Studios team. This role supports the management and maintenance of our image resources across both digital and print platforms. You will undertake a range of administrative work to fulfill image requests, including procuring permissions and picture research, working to the priorities set by the Lead for Engagement Content. You will edit multiple versions of images for the ROH website, uploading these to our content management system and our Flickr site. In this interim role you will build on your technical skills and knowledge and develop your subject matter expertise within our art forms.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working with images within the arts or cultural sectors
  • A good working knowledge of Photoshop, a strong eye for how an image should be composed and the ability to crop, optimise and edit images to a high standard
  • Ability and commitment to learning new software and systems and adopting new processes as required to support the smooth running of the department
  • Experience of working in a highly deadline-sensitive environment, working with thoroughness, detail and accuracy
  • Highly proficient MS Office user, and able to use or learn Office 365 and SharePoint
  • Commitment to managing own learning and continuous professional development relevant to the role
