The role:

Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance, rehearsal, and event.

We are now seeking to recruit a Lighting Technician to join the lighting department in our Linbury Theatre team, working to deliver safely and effectively all technical and practical aspects of the ROH`s work in the Linbury Theatre to the highest possible standard.

What you`ll bring:

This role will suit a candidate who has strong communication skills and is able to work unsupervised, showing initiative in dealing with day-to-day problems. You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • A proven track record in technical theatre with a producing organisation or venue.
  • Good technical skills in lighting with a thorough understanding of current equipment and systems.
  • Confident user of ETC systems including desks, network and software.
  • Training and experience in electrical safety.
  • Experience of lighting software packages pertinent to the role, which may include AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Lightwrite, Vor and MLA.
  • Flexibility to work in other technical disciplines as required.
